November Reflection

As we roll on through November, it serves as an opportune time for me to reflect on the roller coaster ride these past several months have been. Since April, we have moved twice-once to a rental and then into our new home, launched a book- Embracing a Life of Abundance, started a new job teaching math at Stewarts Creek High School, Ellen had surgery, and she is continuing to recover from that and her long Covid ordeal. I am so thankful to have Ellen as my life partner and soulmate as we navigate these crazy times.

I am also truly grateful to all those who have bought my book and have supported me on that adventure. We had some hiccups with the original publisher, but we have moved over to a new one. IngramSpark has been a good partner so far. We would love to hear from anyone regarding the book. If you are so inclined, please post a review on Amazon, GoodReads, Barnes & Noble, or any other convenient place. I will be having two book signing events this coming Saturday, Nov 18, one in Bardstown at the Nelson County Public Library in Rm 1 from 9:00 – 11:00 am and then in Elizabethtown at the Dreamery, at 114 E Dixie Ave, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.

As we near the end of 2023, I find myself wondering what I want to be when I grow up. It seems that 60 years doesn’t squelch that curiosity. I am truly blessed to have been able to work in some amazing places with some incredible people, including my new school family at Stewarts Creek. I suspect that over this next decade, I will explore new challenges to keep things interesting. Maybe you are feeling something similar too. Let’s see what’s around the corner.
